Definition
This is a full-time, professional position in the City’s Internal Services Department. An individual in this position provides support and project management for fleet and facilities while ensuring compliance with established processes for the department. Reporting relationship: Department Director.
Examples of Work
- Serve as the point of contact for all internal services externally sourced projects;
- Manage multiple projects of varying sizes across the City at any/all City buildings;
- Coordinate bond related CIP projects under Facilities;
- Assist with the fleet replacement schedule;
- Coordinate fleet related purchases with external vendors;
- Assess all facilities for ADA compliance;
- Maintain accurate and current building information in the facilities management software;
- Coordinate facility improvements/projects to meet ADA regulations;
- Assist with establishing a 5-10-15 year plan for asset replacement;
- Obtain quotes for multiple projects simultaneously in compliance with established policies;
- Conduct weekly site visits on all ongoing projects under Facilities to verify work quality is within the scope of the contract terms;
- Ensure all projects adhere to the established timelines for completion and are within project budgets;
- Provide weekly project reports to Director;
- Initiate contract processing for all Internal Services related projects (externally sourced);
- Contract management for all Fleet and Facilities contracts, including initiating renewal and/or RFP processes as appropriate;
- Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations;
- Assist with budget maintenance pertaining projects;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
- Subject to 24-hour recall.
Education, Experience, or Certification
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Three (3) years related experience in project management, knowledge of project management best practices and current technologies required. Experience managing construction or renovation projects preferred. Certified Associate in Project Management Certification required; Project Management Professional Certification preferred. An Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Work Conditions
A 40-hour onsite work week with Mandatory on-call. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other components.
