GENERALPURPOSEAssists with the operation of the Theater staff, productions, plays and classes. SUPERVISION RECEIVEDWorks under the general guidance and direction of Theater Supervisor (Manager)SUPERVISION EXERCISEDSome supervision over volunteers and actors

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESAssists with staff and volunteers, assist with analyzing scripts, casting for children's productions, coordinates and teaches classes, coordinates theater summer camps, directs Children's productions, administrative tasks when assigned, special events.Responsible for marketing and design for classes, programs and performances.Assist with technical aspects of theatre performances including lights, sound, set construction and backstage.Assist in department wide events including but not limited to Tree Lighting, Dia de los Muertos, Halloween Carnival and Fourthfest.PERIPHERALDUTIESMay serve on employee committeesProvide assistance and support to other departments on an as needed basisOther duties as assigned

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Supplemental InformationSPECIAL REQUIREMENTSSpecialized Theater School for acting and directing a plus. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USEDWide range of tools used in set construction, typewriter, phone, automobile, and any equipment needed in conjunction with department requirements.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
