Description
The City of Bellaire is looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and fun-loving camp supervisor to oversee day camp programming. The Camp Supervisor is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing the day camp during the summer and on days when Houston ISD is closed. The Camp Supervisor is responsible for providing a fun, safe, and educational camp experience while maintaining a positive relationship with staff, parents, and campers.
RECREATION SUPERVISOR - CAMPS functions include but are not limited to the following:

Youth Camp Program Management:
- Prepare, organize, and implement youth day camps and various recreational programs.
- Coordinate all aspects of camp preparation, including activity scheduling, staff training, recruitment, purchasing supplies, and communication with campers, staff, and parents.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for campers and staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Review and submit hours for part-time staff during summer camp and intermittent payroll during the rest of the year.

Budget Management and Administrative Support:
- Develop and manage program budgets, including revenue generation, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
- Seek opportunities for funding, sponsorships, and partnerships.
- Prepare reports, evaluations, and other documentation as required.

Supervision and Collaboration:
- Supervise part-time employees and volunteers by assigning tasks, recruiting volunteers, managing inventory, coordinating training, and providing feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments, community organizations, and event sponsors to coordinate and develop special events in a collaborative manner.
- Contribute to the team effort by performing other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Experience: 1-3 years of previous relevant work experience is required.
Supervisory: 1 year of previous supervisory experience is required.
Certifications/Licenses: Driver's License, First Aid/AED, Preferred - Certified Park & Recreational Professional
