Description
The Brand Development Representative is the key connection point between Silver Eagle Distributors and retailers/consumers with a specific focus on Karbach Brewing Co. This position is predominantly field sales based and focused around building key relationships. The BDR will report directly to Silver Eagle Distributors Houston and be responsible for carrying out sales and marketing strategy. Their performance will be measured by KPIs that include measurements of activity and market effectiveness.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Karbach Brewing Company’s products, pricing, and commercial strategy
- Building and maintaining key “focus accounts” where they will spend the majority of their time planning and executing in market
- Adjust focus accounts bi-monthly to ensure Karbach is winning at all essential establishments
- Responsible for increasing distribution and volume across the key on premise and key off-premise accounts.
- Implement sales strategy and targets using aligned brand priorities with wholesalers while assisting in achieving expected results
- Utilize selling and data tools to build comprehensive selling stories for retail accounts
- Execute events and promotional activities (may include evenings and weekends)
- Review target account analysis and reports to ensure brands are performing at the top of class levels for all assigned accounts
- Have a good understanding of beer quality measures and communicate any discrepancies
- Improve velocity in accounts by building displays, driving distribution, resetting coolers, displaying POS items, educating retail employees, hand selling, sampling, securing features, and developing promotional programs.
- Add value to all key accounts by offering creative, impactful support and by keeping the accounts informed about all upcoming brand launches or programs
- Utilize and record daily tasks and activities within company CRM tool (KARMA)
- Knowledge of data tools (VIP & PowerBI)
- Review pricing and bring forward any competitive disadvantages or profit opportunities present in the market.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
What You Need to Succeed:
- High School Diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
- One (1) or more years’ experience related to sales and marketing required. Prior distribution, outside sales, food and beverage, or related experience a strong plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to be flexible in work hours and adapt to frequent changes
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
- Daily, in person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required
- A valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Able to handle alcohol, and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines
- Must have a smart phone with a camera and data capability
The Physical Requirements:
- This position requires frequent lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20 – 50 lbs. per case and occasional work with 160 lb. kegs in specialty accounts
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, dolly, and six-wheeler cart
- Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
- Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
- Frequent driving distances between 0 – 75 miles in one sitting
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions including high and low temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow
- Daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
- Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
