Job Title: Animator
Department: Training
Reports to: Director of Training
Classification: Full-time, In-office, Exempt
SUMMARY:
The Animator will support Tadano’s Training Department by developing high-quality 2D and 3D animated content for use in both in-person and online training programs. This position involves collaboration with subject matter experts to create engaging and educational visual media, including character animations, procedural demonstrations, and edited live-action footage.
- Collaborate with training team members to develop and execute animation projects that support instructional objectives.
- Conceptualize characters, scenes, and visual elements that align with training goals and brand standards.
- Develop storyboards and/or shot lists to guide production workflow.
- Create original visual assets, including characters, backgrounds, equipment, and environments.
- Produce full-length animations with minimal supervision, ensuring appropriate pacing and timing.
- Edit live-action video content to illustrate processes or procedures clearly and effectively.
- Record or incorporate voice-over narration and/or character dialogue when required.
- Source or produce sound effects and background music to enhance animations.
- Present completed work for feedback and make revisions in a timely and professional manner.
- Deliver final animations and edited video content in a consistent format, on schedule, and at a high level of quality.
- Stay current on industry trends, animation tools, and video production best practices.

- Minimum 7 years of professional experience as a 2D/3D animator.
- Strong experience editing live-action video content.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and follow storyboards and creative briefs.
- Strong creative and technical judgment to independently guide the direction of animation projects.
- Experience adhering to and working within brand guidelines.
- Proficient in optimizing and improving workflows for efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of best practices in sound design, narration, and post-production audio.
- Proactive, adaptable, and highly self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Online portfolio required demonstrating a range of animation and video editing work.
