JOB DESCRIPTION

The Global Story Producer is responsible for creating compelling video content highlighting the impact of giving across Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen Ministries' local, national, and international humanitarian efforts. This position brings vision, creativity, and strong production skills to develop stories that inspire, inform, and motivate our global audience. The producer will lead projects from concept to delivery, capturing testimonies, managing crews, and ensuring all content reflects the message of hope in Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will have a heart for ministry, a passion for storytelling, and the technical proficiency to execute projects both independently and collaboratively.

This position reports to the Director of Broadcast Promotion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide vision and strategy for telling impactful stories that demonstrate how Lakewood Church/Joel Osteen Ministry giving makes a difference
  • Identify, plan, and execute storytelling opportunities across Lakewood Church initiatives, with an emphasis on humanitarian efforts in collaboration with the Executive Director of Humanitarian Programs
  • Coordinate with local and global ministry partners to foster relationships that yield meaningful testimonies and media content
  • Maintain a functioning production schedule to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Research and plan logistics for each shoot, including budget, crew, equipment, travel, and location needs
  • Direct single and multi-camera video shoots and conduct on-camera interviews to capture compelling narratives
  • Ensure the availability and readiness of all necessary equipment for media deliverables
  • Assign and oversee producers and contractors to ensure all deliverables meet Lakewood standards
  • Manage and organize B-roll footage repository to support future content needs
  • Oversee the work product of graphic designers, cinematographers, and outside producers when needed
  • Review edits and provide creative direction throughout the production process
  • Address challenges during pre-production, production, and post-production, implementing timely solutions
  • Produce content with broadcast-quality turnaround times when needed
  • Travel domestically and internationally to capture stories on-site
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

You are responsible for communicating the Church’s beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures, and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community. This will also include:

  • Regular attendance at Church services and classes
  • Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and
  • Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church’s vision, values, and core beliefs
  • Demonstrated Christ-like character
  • Strong understanding of television production, including pre-production, production, and post-production processes
  • Proficiency with media equipment, software, and non-linear editing tools, including Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to direct and oversee production teams effectively
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in the Spanish language is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and friendly disposition
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to problem-solve under pressure
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in video production
