Hours: Monday through Friday, with evening and weekend work as needed.

Position Overview:

The Director of Admissions is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive and successful recruitment and enrollment management program. The recruitment goal is 100 freshman students per year. The program must be built upon quantitative analysis and strategic decision-making, with involvement from the school community—faculty and staff, student and parent ambassadors.

The Director also provides leadership, support, and management of the Admissions team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops detailed one- to three-year recruitment plan to target, nurture, enroll, and retain students.
  • Coordinates and facilitates on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, including tours of the campus for students and parents.
  • Strengthens the Parent Ambassadors Program.
  • Gathers and maintains current enrollment data to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Department to support implementation of the Admissions plan.
  • Develops pipeline strategies to engage middle school students and key personnel.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with the Academic Department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Requirements:

Possesses the necessary skills to lead and support team members in collaborating and working independently to successfully accomplish the admissions goal.

Qualifications:

  • College degree
  • Three years of experience in a school environment as a teacher, or in admissions or enrollment management
  • Background in sales and/or marketing would be helpful in this position
  • Strong grasp of Catholic education and the ability to effectively articulate IWA’s mission and values
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop a long-range plan and manage the daily details of implementation
  • Ability to relate to middle school students and their parents
  • Strategic thinker with a “can-do” style
