Reports to: Vice President of Marketing & Communications
Primary Purpose: We are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic, driven by excellence and mission-minded to strategically build new and established community education programs both on-campus and externally in order to promote and support the organization’s lifesaving mission.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Coordinate with teachers and school administrators to implement Houston SPCA’s grade-appropriate school presentations in the greater Houston area.
- Manage all camp preparations, seasonal educators and serve as Camp Manager during the weekly summer education program (Critter Camp) in the Carruth Education Center.
- Coordinate on-campus field trips with teachers and administration.
- Facilitate Girl Scout and Boy Scout tours of the campus.
- Actively participate in various on-campus activities when appropriate.
- Content contributor for media relations, fundraising, marketing and social media.
- Support various educational events with community outreach when needed.
- Work with volunteers in coordination with the Volunteer Services Coordinator when needed.
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
