Full-Time, Live-Out Nanny

Location: West University, Houston, TX 77005
Pets: None
Start Date: August 15, 2025
Commitment: At least 1 year, ideally 3 to 4 years

Schedule: 35 hours per week

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $27 to $32 per hour, flexible based on experience

About the Position

This West University family is seeking a warm, developmentally minded nanny to provide consistent, full charge care for their toddler. The nanny will take the lead on daily routines, support meals and naps, and plan age-appropriate learning activities that make the most of this exciting stage of development.

The ideal candidate is someone who brings structure, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose to their caregiving. They should be confident leading the day while staying closely aligned with the family’s values and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full charge care for a 1-year-old
  • Plan and lead developmentally rich activities, including sensory play, music, movement, and early literacy
  • Support routines around meals, snacks, and naps
  • Encourage language development, curiosity, and independence
  • Keep play areas tidy and handle child-related laundry

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in toddler care, ideally with a background in early childhood education
  • Confident managing the day independently while staying connected to the family’s goals
  • Creative, warm, and purposeful in play and daily routines
  • Skilled in supporting early milestones across social emotional, cognitive, and language domains

Family Environment

The parents are engaged and communicative, but the nanny will have space to lead the day with minimal interruption. Mom will support the transition and onboarding process, and Dad, who works outside the home, would appreciate regular updates. This is a team-oriented family that values mutual respect and open communication.
