Position Description
The Harris County Clerk is seeking a talented Curriculum Trainer responsible for developing instructional material, coordinating educational content, and incorporating current technology into instruction in order to provide guidelines to instructors for developing curricula and conducting courses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop instructional material and educational content.
- Incorporate current technology into instruction.
- Provide guidelines to instructors for developing curricula and conducting courses.
- Develop and provide continuous improvement to the current curricula.
- Review feedback received and incorporate into existing training program.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
- One (1) year election training experience.
- Strong customer service.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are also essential.
- Adherence to policies and laws are a must.
- Provided written resources encapsulate both Harris County and Secretary of State policies and laws.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure.
- Willingness to travel to various vote centers and work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings.
- Ability to work under stress and able to work without direct supervision.
- Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and willingness to learn new computer programs and applications.

Preferences
- Prior experience as an election judge, election trainer, or similar role in election administration.
- Strong knowledge of vote center procedures, equipment, and general operations of an election and the Harris County website.
- Understanding of and ability to explain the electronic pollbook application and voting process.
General Information
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
- Temp Fill-time | This is a temporary position in which qualified individuals may be asked to work future elections.

End Date: 8/8/2025 | Holidays:June 19, 2025 & July 4th, 2025 (entire Elections office may be closed July 4th week)
- Days and hours of work cover every day of the week, though individuals are normally not scheduled to work more than 5 days a week.
- Work week may range from 30 to 35 hours.
- No more than two (2) vacation days will be approved throughout project duration.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- This job is primarily an active, physically demanding role
- Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 40lbs is a mandatory component of the job
