SUMMARY
Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Staff Geologist/Staff Geotechnical Engineer in our Plano, TX office supporting our geotechnical engineering practice. Our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role will be responsible for the following tasks outlined below.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Responsible for performing field and laboratory sampling and testing
- Scheduling of projects with vendors and field personnel
- Typing of boring logs/lab data
- Assisting project management team with geologic research
- Preparing site plans and other report exhibits
- Assisting with report and proposal preparation
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-2 years’ experience in soils reports, soil laboratory testing
- Experience working with a group of engineers while providing project support
- Geology or Engineering degree is a BIG PLUS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, and standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
- Field work including hand-augers, infiltration tests, logging and sampling of soil borings, will be needed from time to time
- Laboratory work, including lifting and moving soil samples and lab equipment, sieving of soils and aggregate, etc. will be needed from time to time
