About The Role:

We are currently seeking a Riser Analysis Engineer for our Energy division. As an active member of the team, this role will help drive the growth of our upstream riser design and analysis practice by focusing on offshore structures to provide technical expertise in subsea well systems, drilling (marine) risers, intervention/completion risers and various types of production riser sets. You will have the opportunity to perform dynamic structural and component finite element analysis to ensure structural and fatigue performance of the systems design. This is an onsite opportunity located in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze offshore riser systems, subsea structures, and components using advanced analysis tools and techniques.
  • Perform finite element analysis using commercial and in-house global analysis software.
  • Support Project Managers to meet project goals/deliverables and communicate with clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop proposals, craft presentations, and technical reports.
  • Provide support with internal R&D initiatives as needed
  • Remain up to date with the latest technologies and industry improvements to ensure technical proficiency.
  • Maintain adherence to quality management system (QMS) policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • A BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline (i.e. Aerospace, Ocean, or Petroleum) at least 1 year of experience as an analysis engineer, preferably in oil and gas.
  • Strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, physics, and structural dynamics.
  • Strong understanding & interest of computational modeling and simulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance engineering judgment in alignment with business priorities to deliver high-value work products.
  • Ability to research and develop sound technical solutions and skills.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently but leverage input in complex problem solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Desire to solve real-world problems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.
