Full-time position in Neurology, Neurocognitive.
The Research Engineering Assistant position is essential to advancing our neuroimaging research focused on Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), and related neurodegenerative conditions. This role requires specialized expertise in MRI and PET analysis, advanced image processing, and integration of imaging data with clinical and biomarker findings to support early diagnosis and disease monitoring. The position will drive critical research initiatives, contribute to high-impact publications, and enhance collaborative efforts across disciplines, including neurology, radiology, and data science. Additionally, this role supports grant development, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides mentorship within the research team—making it vital to sustaining and expanding our research program.

Position Summary:
Perform assignments, requiring at least a basic working knowledge of engineering or scientific methods, in such areas as research, design or experimental testing. Responsible for assignments that require the technical knowledge to modify or adapt routine procedures under the direction of a supervisor, to meet special research requirements.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Sets up and operates testing or research equipment as directed by supervisor.
- Makes or records observations and measurements.
- According to experience, may design, assemble and operate equipment used in research.
- Performs detailed analyses, tests and operations.
- May prepare portions of technical reports, aspects of computer programs, and specific sections of project plans.
- Assists research Engineer, Sr. Research Engineer, Engineering Scientist, or faculty members with specific phases of research projects.
- Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering or technical field.

Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
