    Primary Purpose:
    The Coordinator of Marketing is a key role on SBISD’s high-performing Communications team—responsible for proactively researching, developing, executing, analyzing, and adjusting comprehensive marketing strategies that drive stakeholder engagement, boost enrollment and recruitment, and position the district as a top-tier choice for families and staff across the region, state, and nation.
    This position demands a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The successful candidate will bring a proactive approach to trend analysis, campaign planning, and engagement strategy—anticipating shifts in the competitive landscape and adjusting messaging and media strategy accordingly.
    Working alongside a hands-on, collaborative team that delivers both paid and owned media content, this individual must understand how those strategies intersect and complement each other. An analytical mindset and the ability to apply insights from performance data, audience engagement patterns, and content analytics to refine and optimize campaign execution are essential. The ability to marry communications and engagement—understanding the “why” behind each tactic—is critical to long-term success.

    Qualifications/Skills:
    Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, business administration, or related field.
    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Knowledge of the Memorial/Spring Branch community strongly preferred.
    • Bilingual a plus.
    • Must be a proactive, self-directed professional with the ability to anticipate challenges and act decisively.
    • Demonstrated ability to research emerging communications and marketing trends, analyze implications, and adjust plans in real time.
    • Ability to lead and coordinate multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns across paid and owned media platforms.
    • Proven expertise in translating engagement data and campaign performance into actionable insights.
    • Understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and campaign ROI tracking.
    • Outstanding writing, editing, public speaking, and presentation skills.
    • Deep understanding of brand positioning and audience engagement in a competitive marketplace.
    • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and project management skills.
    • Strong organizational, problem solving, interpersonal, networking and collaboration skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of analytics tools, survey platforms, marketing automation, and CRM platforms (HUBSPOT preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant social media platforms.
    Experience:
    • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing-focused role; public sector or education sector experience a plus.
    • Experience in a marketing, communications, media, or agency role.
    • Experience managing large-scale campaigns and high-impact content strategies.
    • Experience creating, launching, and managing high-profile events and activations.
    • Proven ability to develop and manage marketing budgets aligned to campaign KPIs and ROI targets.

    Major Duties and
    Responsibilities:
    Program and Campaign Strategy:
    • Lead the development, execution, and ongoing optimization of data-driven, insight-based marketing plans that support district goals and brand identity.
    • Monitor and assess emerging marketing trends, applying them proactively to adjust tactics and recommend new channels or approaches.
    • Analyze performance and engagement data to evaluate campaign ROI, make recommendations, and report to leadership.
    • Partner with the Communications Director and team leads to blend owned and paid media into cohesive, measurable campaigns.
    • Design and support enrollment, recruiting, and brand-strengthening efforts that reach, influence, and engage new and existing audiences.
    • Regularly assess the competitive landscape to ensure SBISD’s communications are current, effective, and compelling.
    • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset across all projects with clear documentation of metrics, benchmarks, and ROI.
    Collaboration & Training:
    • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for best practices in communications, marketing, and social media.
    • Lead or contribute to training initiatives and professional development within the Communications team and across district departments.
    • Work cross-functionally with campuses, departments, and external vendors to align messaging and ensure consistency of brand standards.
    Audience Engagement & Public Education Advocacy:
    • Cultivate meaningful connections with families, students, staff, and the community through campaigns and user experiences.
    • Support efforts to sustain and expand public support for Spring Branch ISD and public education overall.
    • Identify and pursue high-impact channels for promoting SBISD's programs, people, and priorities.
    Other:
    • Manage positive relationships with media and serve as a proactive resource for earned media opportunities.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Communications Director or Associate Superintendent for Community Relations.

    Supervisory
