Quanex is looking for a Senior Executive Assistant to join our team located in Houston, TX.
The Senior Executive Assistant will provide support to the CEO, four executives, and the Board of Directors for a complex, global manufacturing organization. This position plays a key role in ensuring our senior leaders able to effectively manage their time, travel, and teams. This role will report directly to the VP, CHRO and will have a high level of visibility internally, externally, and with members of the Board. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys multi-tasking while supporting senior leaders.

Travel required for critical leadership and Board meetings (approximately 10%). Hours typically 7 am – 4 pm, but flexibility required to oversee the onsite coordination of meetings, leadership dinners, etc.
What Success Looks Like:
- Use independent judgment and discretion to manage various projects with minimal specific guidance.
- Assist with the preparation and compilation of information for Board of Director meetings. Manage the online board books application.
- Management of events (including conferences & on-site meetings), researches and coordinates all details, and communicates costs analysis with management. Provides coordination and all support required for host site(s) and attendees during the events. Manages meeting budget, negotiates all necessary contracts, and provides on-site management during events.
- Proactively manage travel for assigned executives for business purposes which include meeting site selection and negotiation as required.
- Prepare and administer high-level management correspondence, reports and presentations. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
- Manage users within the Certify/Emburse program used for expense reporting. Responsible for the user setup and auditing of access rights.
- Partner with Office Services Coordinator to manage facility responsibilities by working with outside vendors including safety services, vending/coffee services, document shredding and building management. Serve as a backup for tracking and ordering all office supplies, monitoring inventory, and receiving office supply items and necessary materials.
- Serve as a backup to Office Services Coordinator for daily administrative tasks, phone, mail, shipments, the facility phone directory, and seating chart for the Houston office.
Your Credentials:
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years relevant experience required; prior experience supporting multiple executives strongly preferred.
- Prior experience supporting a Board of Directors strongly preferred.
- Advanced skills in MS Office and general office equipment.
- Requires a broad knowledge of corporate operations and policy, and a high level of experience, discretion, confidentiality, and technical skill.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 with bonus potential.
