Description
The goals of the research project that will undertake are in line with the department's objectives and we anticipate that applicant is research findings will translate this exciting avenue of research into possible clinical development of targeting the DNA repair and replication stress vulnerabilities in patients with head and neck cancer. During the appointment at MD Anderson, we will verbally communicate these objectives and performance expectations in order for applicant to successfully participate in this research project.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Work with cutting edge approaches consists of multi-omic strategies and techniques involving DNA cloning, tissue culture, immunostaining, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing along with generation of stable cell line models, mouse, and human tumor studies.
- Integrate and work with multidisciplinary teams of bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, and clinicians in our department.
- Develop knowledge and skills in basic and translational head and neck cancer research.
- Study the emergence and mechanism of resistance to cisplatin and molecularly targeted therapy in head and neck cancer cells harboring mutant TP53 and HPV infection.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
MD/PhD or PhD.
POSITION INFORMATION
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000. depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
