Summary

The department is looking for laboratory helper in the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy. They are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in biology, biotechnology or immunology and their application in life sciences. The related will aid the development of novel cell therapies for cancer. The laboratory Helper be interested in biology, immunology and molecular engineering. The position will entail perform basics tasks, but contributing to larger projects aiming to cure cancer. This is a part-time position for 20 hours/week.

Job Duties

  • Performs simple and standard procedures established in the laboratory related to molecular biology (e.g. DNA isolation, sample ali quotation).
  • Performs inventory and stocks relevant areas once-twice a week.
  • Prepares simple culture media.
  • Assists senior researchers in cell culture experiments and relevant readouts as needed.
  • Participates in weekly laboratory meetings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Has a proven interest in biology / biotechnology / immunology (e.g. undergraduate college students in related fields).
