JOB TITLE: Coordinator-Research and Program Evaluation
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Assessment, Research, and Accountability
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt
PAY GRADE: AI 3
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Coordinator of Research and Program Evaluation will assist the Department of Assessment, Research, and Accountability in performing data analysis and reporting, as well as conducting program evaluations, developing data dashboards, grant writing/evaluations, and surveys for the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Three years job job-related experience
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience in K-12 educational research
- Experience in conducting program evaluations
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Proficient in Tableau, Qualtrics, and other advanced statistical software (e.g., Stata, SAS, R)
- Proficient in applying quantitative and qualitative methods to gather and interpret data
- Microsoft Office (ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets)
- Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
- Skilled in grant writing and program evaluation.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond promptly and accurately to customer complaints and/or concern
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Statistical Analysis and Data Management
- Statistically analyze test, survey, and student data.
- Provide analysis to meet the needs of the Strategic Plan, departments, schools, and grants.
- Manage large databases to track students and programs longitudinally.
Data Visualizations
- Develop and maintain data dashboards to track district-level progress on important measures utilizing Tableau.
- Support the Cabinet on data elements used for Board of Trustees PowerPoints and Department of Communication documents.
Program Evaluation
- Conduct program evaluations for the department and programs to meet the district's needs and state/federal requirements.
- Lead evaluation groups through the program evaluation process.
- Report results and recommendations based on evaluations.
Surveys
- Write and construct surveys for departments and schools that address their data needs
- Develop surveys within Tableau that can survey specific populations utilizing student and employee indicators.
- Report results in a usable format for departments and schools.
Grants
- Lead grant writing and submissions for local, state, federal, and private grants.
- Evaluate grant effectiveness and provide required grant data analysis and reporting requirements.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility, standing, prolonged sitting, some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. This position will also require both traveling within the district and statewide. Mental demands: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations; ability to interpret a variety of data; ability to interpret TEC and policy; ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory; ability to be effective in both oral and written communication; ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
