Description
Audubon is currently seeking an AVEVA E3D/PDMS Catalog & Specifications Administrator to join our team. This role will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of AVEVA E3D/PDMS catalogs and piping specifications to support project execution. The administrator will ensure that catalog and specification data are accurate, standardized, and aligned with project and company requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage AVEVA E3D/PDMS piping catalogs and specifications in accordance with project and company standards.
Create and maintain piping components, material definitions, and specification data required for project execution.
Configure and manage catalog and spec databases to support engineering and design teams.
Work with engineering, piping, and discipline leads to ensure catalogs and specs align with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to designers and project teams regarding catalog and specification usage.
Ensure proper data structure, naming conventions, and standardization within the AVEVA environment.
Troubleshoot catalog and specification issues and resolve component or specification conflicts within E3D/PDMS.
Support the integration and migration of catalog/spec data across projects and versions of AVEVA software.
Assist with the development and implementation of automation tools, macros, or scripts related to catalog/spec management when required.
Maintain documentation for catalog and specification development procedures.
Participate in project setup, data management, and project handover/archiving activities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Skill Requirements
Required
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree from a technical institution preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with AVEVA PDMS/E3D or related plant design systems.
Strong experience developing and managing AVEVA catalogs and piping specifications (Cats & Specs).
Knowledge of piping components, materials, and industry standards used in plant design.
Familiarity with CAD environments and Windows operating systems.
Ability to troubleshoot catalog/spec conflicts and support design teams.
Preferred
8–10+ years of experience in piping design, drafting, or AVEVA system administration.
Prior experience supporting engineering projects in oil & gas, energy, or industrial facilities.
Knowledge of AVEVA database structure and administration.
Programming or scripting experience (SQL, PML, or similar tools) is a plus.
Previous experience as a piping designer or in an engineering design environment.
