Description
Primary Purpose
Assists with the development and analysis of SI's annual budgets and 2- and 10-year plans, including G&A budget development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in Cost Center budgeting exercise and meet with cost center owners to help create yearly budgets and variance analysis. Includes monthly and quarterly cost center deliverables.
- Assist in 2- and 10-year plan for multiple entities utilizing information provided by business owners and proactively partner with the cross-functional teams to facilitate the understanding of business, accounting, and finance issues impacting SI now and in the future. Apply business and financial knowledge to analyze submissions of information for sound finance and accounting.
- Assist in the preparation of multiple financial scenarios, schedules and management presentations.
- Track & monitor G&A and development costs, including actual analysis, forecasts and labor.
- Perform financial statement variance analysis, including applying accounting and financial knowledge to review project and consolidated plans for sound presentation of numbers.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, or similar field
- 3+ years related experience
- Experience with a publicly traded company with multiple business units.
- Experience with analyzing and developing financial statements; good familiarity with GAAP.
- Intermediate skills with Excel and financial modeling.
- Understanding of accounting and finance including consolidation, elimination ownership structures.
- Ability and drive to advance an issue or problem for identification through resolution.
- Experience summarizing complex data into logical presentations.
- Strong time management and organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Consistently ensures accuracy, completeness, and proper presentation in all tasks.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills to effectively extract valuable insights, enhancing the impact and value of assigned work activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a diverse audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Professional certification (CFA, CPA, CMA, etc.)
