Essential Functions:
The Finance and Strategy Specialist will provide critical financial and strategic support to the Permian Basin Pipeline Business Development Team. The Candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic initiatives and providing Financial Management support. This position will report to the Senior Director of Pipeline Business Development and will have visibility to senior management across the Plains All American organization. The position will also provide ample opportunities for future career growth within the organization.

Finance and Strategy Specialist duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform financial modeling for all new pipeline connections, capital upgrade projects, re-contracting efforts for the Plains Oryx Permian Basin JV and Long Haul Businesses
Develop and articulate strategy as it relates to the existing business, future business, M&A opportunities, re-contracting, etc.
Participate in all new Business Development efforts which involves submitting proposals, negotiating agreements, and/or meeting with customers
Develop and present capital AFE presentations to upper management
Perform M&A modeling in conjunction with corporate development team
Perform asset capacity utilization modeling and manage capacity utilization tool to support the Optimization Manager
Provide quarterly and annual budget support for capital and volume forecasting and implement ways to improve the process
Perform monthly, quarterly, and capital actual to budget variance analysis
Manage and present weekly business development updates and presentations to upper management
Support creating and presenting POPB JV Board, Senior Management, and Business Segment Review Materials for upper management
Participate in business development efforts, form relationships with existing and future customers, and attend industry events
Perform business performance asset analytics on key performance metrics (“KPIs”) to find inefficiencies in performance and identify areas where margin can be improved
Perform quality control analysis on capital underwriting using historical actual data
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, BBA, Masters Degree in Finance or Economics preferred
Financial Management experience with a minimum of 5 years work experience in investment banking, midstream, or upstream industry preferred
Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational skills
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
