QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a licensed early childhood setting preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership or supervisory role in an early learning environment preferred
- Valid Texas Child Care Director's Certificate or eligible to obtain certification upon hire
- In-depth knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards
- Strong instructional leadership and staff development experience
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of computers, data systems, and standard office software
- Ability to travel between multiple centers as needed
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Probationary/Term Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$84,155 (IA-3)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide ongoing support to Early Learning Center directors and staff in maintaining compliance with state licensing regulations and district policies
- Support curriculum fidelity and developmentally appropriate practices in coordination with the ELC Curriculum Coordinator
- Conduct center observations and provide constructive feedback to directors and assistant directors
- Facilitate and/or lead professional development sessions for ELC staff
- Assist with staff coaching, onboarding, and mentoring, especially at high-need centers
- Serve as interim coverage for center directors during absences, ensuring continuity of operations
- Support centers with staff vacancies to ensure appropriate supervision and instructional quality
- Monitor and advise on classroom environments to ensure alignment with health, safety, and learning standards
- Maintain documentation and records related to compliance, training, and instructional support activities
- Collaborate with center and department leadership to assess needs and provide targeted support
- Assist with planning and coordination of special events, parent engagement efforts, and program improvements
- Serve as a liaison between the centers and Community Programs leadership
- Lead and manage the Summer Early Learning Center (Summer ELC) program
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Community Programs or designee

- Occasional irregular hours to support program operations
