Hotel Daphne in Houston Heights is a 49-room hideaway inspired by utopian ideals, clandestine neighborhood clubs, determined women and art of all kinds. We invite travelers and locals to check in and “check out.” Opening winter 2025.


The Role

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager will exceed the expectations of all Hotel Daphne customers, internal and external, with a strong focus on driving sales performance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, project management across a wide range of marketing and sales activities, enhancing our online presence, and supporting web development.


A Marketing Manager must develop and maintain the company’s culture, values and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners. A Marketing & Communications Manager must promote the Bunkhouse Mission in all actions and decisions and are accountable to the overall team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes online sales strategies to enhance the Hotel’s online presence, including websites, online review sites, and other digital channels. Utilizes best practices in analytics, SEO, and performance tools to drive sales.

  • Manages property photography and video libraries, coordinating and overseeing photo shoots to ensure high-quality visual content that supports Hotel’s branding metrics.

  • Provides copywriting support, ensuring all marketing materials are compelling and aligned with Hotel’s performance goals.

  • Participates in the creation and execution of property marketing plans and budgets, focusing on strategies that drive sales growth.

  • Oversees marketing projects, manages meeting schedules, and tracks deliverables, ensuring timely completion of projects that enhance sales opportunities. Acts as the primary marketing liaison with Corporate Office to maintain alignment with sales strategies.

  • Initiates the development of new policies, procedures, and tools to improve departmental efficiencies.

  • Manages the storage and organization of all marketing files, materials, and reporting tools, ensuring easy access to resources.

  • Assists in market research for new business development projects, focusing on market studies that identify sales opportunities.

  • Provides project support to all Marketing/Communications Department initiatives driven by corporate office, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.

  • Manages assigned projects, ensuring timely follow-through and communication.

  • Assists in special projects as needed, contributing to initiatives that drive demand growth.

  • Maintains a positive, efficient, and helpful relationship with all departments within the Hotel to support their individual objectives.

  • Ensures open lines of communication with upper management, utilizing email, documentation, and meetings to address needs and opportunities.

  • Maintains a high level of organization and safety in the work area, contributing to a professional sales environment.

  • Adheres to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training materials, memos, budgets, and verbal instructions to support Hotel performance goals.

  • Keeps abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe environment.

  • Schedules meetings and maintains meeting minutes to ensure effective communication and follow-up.

  • Computer knowledge Microsoft Office and office skills required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or hospitality management - equivalent combination of education, training and experience may substitute for education requirements

  • Two years (2) of relevant experience in marketing
