We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Outreach Coordinator to lead our outreach efforts for the H-GAC Enterprise Services programs. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive outreach strategies to engage government agencies, vendors, and key stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure successful program implementation. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to utilize your graphic design skills to create visually appealing outreach materials. Travel to conferences and events will also be required.
What will I be doing?
ü Collaborate with department program teams to develop and implement a strategic outreach plan to promote the H-GAC Enterprise programs and increase participation
ü Lead a team of outreach coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support
ü Participate in various outreach activities including conferences, trade shows, and industry events, workshops, training sessions
ü Utilize graphic design skills to create visually compelling outreach materials (digital, printed) including newsletters, brochures, presentations, and social media content.
ü Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs, making necessary adjustments for optimal results.
ü Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in outreach and community engagement.
ü Additionally, the Senior Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for performing any other job duties assigned by the manager to support the overall objectives and success of the department.
Key Qualifications
ü Proven experience in outreach, community engagement, or marketing, with at least 5 years of progressively responsible positions.
ü Strong understanding of government procurement processes and the cooperative purchasing model.
ü Proficiency in graphic design software/tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create visually appealing outreach materials.
ü Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
ü Comfortable speaking in front of large audiences and capable of engaging effectively with members, clients, and vendors.
ü Ability to travel to conferences and events as required.
ü Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
ü Knowledge of social media platforms and their role in outreach and community engagement.
ü Proficiency in using outreach and CRM software/tools.
ü Passion for economic development, public procurement, government programs, and a genuine interest in making a positive impact.
ü Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
Do you have…
ü Bachelor’s degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
ü 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
