Description

Primary Purpose:
Assist the administration and instructional staff with classroom and auxiliary tasks and duties.


Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Bilingual skills desired
  • Basic knowledge of computers with minimal typing skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)


Experience:

  • Three years of job related experience


Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer and direct telephone calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare instructional materials for the classroom and office.
  • Provide program information and appropriate local resource information to the public, including class schedules and locations of classes.
  • Assist with the registration, placement and testing of students.
  • Assist with collection, review and data entry of staff and student information in accordance with local and state policies and procedures.
  • Fill book order requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for in-service workshops and division activities.
  • Assist with the collection and maintenance of files and records for the division and assist with collection of information for annual reports.
  • Assist with the collection and distribution of mail.
  • Complete forms and letters for students, including verification of attendance and scholarship applications.
  • Conduct orientations and trainings for students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
