Position Summary:

The Strategic Marketing Specialist supports the business development team by maintaining and managing internal records, analyzing data, and performing research to uncover opportunities for strategic sales growth. This individual will collaborate closely with sales staff and other associates to generate insights, develop project plans, and maintain seamless communication between internal teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and manage internal records and data used by sales staff for business development
  • Report internal records and data to sales
  • Perform research on a variety of companies to determine strategic relationships within industrial markets for potential sales generation
  • Create analytical reports summarizing data from prospects and clients account to define opportunities for targeted sales
  • Assist other business development associates in developing project plans, defining roles and responsibilities and the scope of work for each project with input from sponsors, project leaders, principal investigators and functional groups
  • Track and report on the status of all proposal components
  • Establish and maintain on-going relationships with the various internal parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems
  • Support other business development team members in ad hoc reports

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred.

Experience: One to four years of related experience.
Computer Skills: Skilled user of spreadsheet software.
