Examples of Work
- Coordinates revenue operations including rentals, memberships, day-use, and program fees, balanes multiple payment types, and reconciles deposits to ensure accurate financial transcactions.
- Promotes and maintains excellent public relations and customer service by responding to public inquiries, correcting problems and unforeseen issues, and communicating with customers about questions, suggestions, activities, and complaints.
- Greets and assist patrons, answer phones, provide information regarding policies, procedures, reservations, programs, registrations, events, and activities.
- Interviews, hires, trains, assigns, supervises, evaluates and disciplines part-time front desk staff.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to review progress, accomplishments, strategies, and plans.
- Assists with the planning, organizing, and developing of various recreation activities and events.
- Maintains the facility equipment and supplies, including conducting inspection reports for facility maintenance.
- Prepares and maintains attendance reports.
- Monitors and ensures safety of patrons and program participants.
- Recommends policy and procedure changes.
- Prepares the facility for programs and rentals by setting up tables, chairs and equipment.
- Ensures that all Recreation policies and procedures are explained and enforced to facility guests and staff.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, or Certification
- A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate is required. College coursework in Recreation.
- Six-month experience in related field preferred.
