As a Recreation Specialist, you will:
- Responsible for assuring adequate supplies are maintained.
- Answer incoming calls, direct calls as required, and research information as necessary.
- Monitor and maintain all equipment within the T.E.Harman Center.
- Assist with special programs and events throughout the year.
- Assist staff in compiling reports and other documents and paperwork.
- Follow emergency procedures.
- Assist other parks and recreation staff with all other duties as assigned.
- Work building attendant assignments.
- Required to work as an essential employee before, during and after an emergency or disaster, whether natural or acts of war.
- Stay abreast of, and comply with, all City and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor or Director.
Formal Education:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- One-year experience in providing customer service
- General office experience, including working with a computer and calculator
- Cash handling/cashdrawer experience
- Municipal experience is preferred
