About this Position
The Harris County District Clerk's Office is seeking a talented Civil Assistant Court Clerk. This position maintains and records all court records according to the statutes and policy procedure guidelines set forth by the District Clerk. Supports the District Clerk’s Office by fostering teamwork and customer service among all levels of staff.

Requirements

All applicants must register and complete the HRT Clerical Skills Test with a minimum of 80% and a typing speed of 35 W.P.M. at 80% accuracy.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be able to work overtime without prior notification.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, have good decision-making, prioritization, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Must present oneself as a professional employee.
  • Must be able to maneuver, including lifting a minimum of thirty (30) pounds.
  • Must be eligible for employment in the United States.

              • The test may be taken once every 30 days.
              • Most recent test scores are retained for up to 6 months.

  • Hours will be discussed during departmental interview.
Salary:
  • Depends on Qualifications
  • Based on 26 Pay Periods
  • Plus benefits

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
