Relying on limited experience and knowledge, the Reinsurance Contract Administrator is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature.
- Obtains reinsurance documentation in accordance with statutory timeframes.
- Compares contract clauses to Company standards and state requirements.
- Answers reinsurance contract related questions from Accounting and Claims.
- Compiles written review notes for distribution to counter-party and enforces wording compliance.
- Escalates non-compliant wording to Manager and documents any exceptions to file.
- Creates draft synopsis of reinsurance contract for review by manager.
- Identifies risk transfer triggers to manager for possible review by Actuarial.
- Inputs data to various tracking databases and produces reports.
- Communicates with counter-parties to ensure that reinsurer signatures are received within nine months.
- Maintains orderly and compliant contract files.
- Assists with Security Committee report.

- Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)\
