This is a grant funded position.
Position Overview
The Centralized Patient Care Data Management System (CPCDMS) Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the integration of Ryan White Grant Part A, Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI), and Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) data collection strategies and applications, including coordinating activities to support the CPCDMS. This position is responsible for promoting data consistency and quality as well as providing oversight and day-to-day management of the CPCDMS system and support staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Researches, conceptualizes and implements the Centralized Patient Care Data Management System (CPCDMS) client-level reporting system. Keeps abreast of new developments in HIV/AIDS-related data collection technology and strategies
  • Maintains and updates CPCDMS reports and their associated folders.
  • Develops training materials and provides orientation and training to new CPCDMS users.
  • Provides ongoing programmatic technical assistance to service providers to ensure the quality of data collection activities are consistent with CPCDMS policies.
  • Provides input and leadership in the development and/or revision of CPCDMS application specifications, business rules, and system policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and oversees work efforts and deliverables from application support vendors and ensures work is accomplished.
  • Establishes yearly program goals/objectives and maintains overall project time line.
  • Compiles program reports for the Ryan White Planning Council (RWPC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) affiliates.

Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Public Health, Social Work or related field.
Experience:
  • At least three (3) years of experience in management or oversight of health-related data management systems.
  • At least one (1) year of experience supervising staff or leading cross-functional teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of public health principles, evaluation methods, and data-driven program improvement.
  • Knowledge of automated client-level reporting systems and health care database capabilities.
  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing and possesses excellent group facilitation skills.
  • Experience working with health care and social services providers.

Preferences

Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of experience with HIV/AIDS-related service delivery, federal grant reporting, or client-level data systems.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
  • Full-Time | Grant Fund
  • Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
  • Other days and hours as necessary.
Work Environment:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands:
  • The position is a largely sedentary role; however, some duties require the ability to lift up to 20 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
