Description
We are looking for a strategic and analytical Senior FP&A Analyst to help drive financial clarity and business performance. This role plays a key part in shaping the company’s financial direction through detailed forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. Ideal candidates will bring strong financial acumen, cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Position Summary
The Senior FP&A Analyst supports the organization’s financial health by leading forecasting, budgeting, and analytical processes that guide strategic decisions. This role works cross-functionally to evaluate performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the company’s annual budgeting process and monthly financial forecasts.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business initiatives and capital investments.
- Analyze actual results vs. budget/forecast and communicate key variances to leadership.
- Support longrange planning and scenario modeling to inform strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Accounting during monthend close to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Prepare financial presentations for leadership and boardlevel meetings.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting, and enhance data integrity.
- Extract, compile, and analyze financial and operational data from the ERP system to support strategic and operational decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand business objectives and develop financial models, dashboards, and reports that provide insights into business performance.
- Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Indepth knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.).
- Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data clearly.
Work Experience:
- 57 years of financial planning & analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry environment.
- Proven track record of partnering with crossfunctional teams and supporting leadership with strategic financial insights.
- Experience working with financial systems and tools to support modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Analytical and detailoriented with strong problemsolving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and selfmotivated.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of translating financial data into business insights.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional travel to plant sites or offsite meetings may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., laptops, reports, files).
