Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for daily oversight and monitoring of the finance and accounting activities assigned to themselves and/or their team. Additionally, the Finance Manager provides guidance, training, and consultation to employees and finance team members regarding their specific financial services and recruitment of staff as needed. Managers may also be responsible for the maintenance and administration of financial accounting systems supporting their assigned function and maintenance of processes and internal controls within their assigned area.
Schedule and Location:
- The position has a hybrid work schedule consisting of Tuesday through Thursday in the office. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office.
- This open role is located at our modern ten-story corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.
What You Will Do:
- Lead budgeting and annual planning process; coordinate department-level budgets and align with organizational goals.
- Monthly financial forecasts (revenue, cash, expenses) and variance analyses.
- Develop and report core SaaS metrics: MRR/ARR, churn (logo & revenue), net revenue retention (NRR), CAC, LTV, gross margin, ARPA/ARPU, burn, etc. against market benchmark.
- Construct and maintain a dynamic SaaS financial model and scenario plans (best/worst/base cases) to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Sales and RevOps on bookings-to-revenue recognition, deal structuring (discounts, contract terms), and revenue leakage.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with ASC 606 for subscription revenue recognition, including tracking upgrades, downgrades, and contract modifications
- Provide timely monthly dashboards for leadership and the board.
- Perform cohort and retention analyses to quantify drivers of growth and churn and recommend levers to improve retention and monetization.
- Measure and optimize customer acquisition economics (CAC payback, blended CAC, channel ROI).
- Track and forecast cash flow; maintain working capital forecasts;
- Improve FP&A processes, automation and data integrity (data sources: billing system, CRM, general ledger, analytics).
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, project and reporting requests as needed
- Supervise financial staff and provide guidance.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent in accounting or finance.
- A minimum of seven (7) years' previous accounting and tax experience in an international service or manufacturing company environment, with some experience in a financial management position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Disciplined in relevant accounting or financial concepts and principles.
- Technically proficient with financial and accounting systems / software.
- Capacity to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
- Good interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external clients.
- Good managerial skills in the areas of team leadership, development, organization, planning and implementation.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
- A thorough knowledge of ABS and its businesses and processes is also beneficial to providing maximum effectiveness in this position.
- Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
It Would Be Nice If You Have:
- Extensive knowledge of the B2B SaaS industry and its financial dynamics.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling and cash flow forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI and other financial tools
