Position Details
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
- Oversee the dual enrollment program, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and state regulations.
- Coordinate scheduling, enrollment processes, and logistics for dual enrollment courses to enhance student accessibility.
- Work closely with high school counselors, faculty, and administrators to promote dual enrollment opportunities and build positive relationships.
- Develop partnerships with local high schools and community organizations to support student engagement.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and state regulations related to dual enrollment.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program outcomes and student success metrics.
- Design and implement marketing strategies to promote the dual enrollment program.
- Organize recruitment events, orientation sessions, and informational workshops to engage students and their families.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating meetings, seminars, and events, including site selection and preparation.
- Develop marketing and training materials for events to ensure their success.
- Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment for efficient departmental operations.
- Supervise the Dual Enrollment Advisor, providing guidance and support in advising practices.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for advising staff to enhance their effectiveness in supporting students.
- In-depth understanding of academic programs, enrollment processes, and student success strategies.
- Proficiency in utilizing advising software and familiarity with educational technologies.
- Strong leadership skills, including motivational communication and team empowerment.
- Effective organizational abilities, showcasing strong time-management and multitasking skills.
- Commitment to student success, with a dedicated approach to developing retention strategies.
- Engaging with students through a supportive advising approach and effective problem resolution.
- Collaborative mindset for departmental teamwork and fostering collaboration.
- Adaptable to changes in policies, procedures, and evolving methodologies in academic advising.
- Five (5) years of successful Secondary Administration experience.
- Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
- Secondary Education Experience preferred.
- Routine office environment.
- Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.
- Use of video display terminal.
