Position Summary:
Essential Job Functions:
- The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
- Observe, report, and provide permitting services to our clients in the energy sector, on offshore drilling and seismic operation projects.
- Responsible for other field and weather-related data collection.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- A Degree in Biology or other science, or environmental discipline is required.
- An understanding and complete willingness and ability to be available for 4-6-week offshore project rotations.
- The ability to complete PSO training and medical evaluation before project commencement.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
- Frequently standing outdoors for up to four hours at a time, up to twelve hours each day.
- Living/working aboard a moving platform (ocean going vessel) for four to six weeks
Work Environment / Environmental Factors:
- Shared sleeping accommodations onboard vessels
- Extreme temperatures
- Variable weather conditions, to include exposure to precipitation and sea spray
- Vessel exhaust fumes
- Outdoor work
- Vessel engine, generator, equipment noise exposure during work and in sleeping accommodations

Compensation:
A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
