The Part-Time Lab Assistant supports the coordination and operation of lab spaces, scheduling, supplies, students, and faculty within the Healthcare Professions labs and Simulation Center. The Part-Time Lab Assistant is responsible for maintaining lab supplies and inventory necessary to support ongoing lab experiences for Nursing and Cross Credit Healthcare students. This position has no teaching responsibilities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Maintain supplies, materials, equipment and lab spaces.Set up and break down labs to support instructional and simulation activities.Communicate effectively with Lee College IT Help desk and external vendor support to maintain and improve lab software and equipment functionality.Maintain accurate inventory control using inventory software, including receiving, issuing, and tracking usage of supplies and equipment.Reorganize lab spaces as needed, including the movement of equipment, supplies, and inventory.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)Must provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced lab environment.Must demonstrate proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office programs and other software products used by the College).Must be available to work Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; weekend and evening scheduling may be necessary to accommodate student needs.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to fifty (50) lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Frequent bending, stooping and reaching required.
