Sound good to you? Explore what we have to offer. Braun Intertec is looking for a Staff Scientist with 0-3 years of experience to join our Environmental Consulting Investigation and Remediation Group in the Houston, TX office.
- Collaborating closely with other members of the group, company, and clients
- Assisting with report writing and field activities.
- Completing project work on time, on budget, and with minimal supervision.
- Helping develop creative solutions for environmental problems.
- Building relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and partners.
- Developing solutions to meet client needs and expectations.
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Conduct field work such as monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, advancing soil borings, and product gauging and recovery, etc.
- Oversight of subcontractors such as drillers and remediation contractors.
- Assist with data tabulation and writing reports such as Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and other technical reports.
- Driven, analytical thinker, enjoys writing, and is detail oriented.
- Enjoys technical work and conducting field work such as soil and groundwater sampling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good mechanical skills to use and troubleshoot environmental sampling equipment.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- A valid driver's license and a good driving history required.
- BS degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or science-related field. MS degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully in a team setting.
- Experience with verbal and written communication with all levels of an organization.
- Driven, goal-oriented personality that seeks creative solutions to project execution.
