Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Molecular Technologist to join our laboratory team. This role is responsible for preparing and performing testing on clinical specimens while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biological sciences, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a laboratory environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Testing and Compliance Responsibility- Prepare and perform testing on clinical specimens.
- Maintain knowledge and competency in all laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Adhere to CLIA and all other applicable regulatory guidelines and standards.

Quality Assurance and Instrument Maintenance
- Perform and document qualifications for reagent lots and control lots.
- Perform and document instrument qualifications.
- Maintain laboratory equipment by performing all necessary maintenance.
- Maintain all applicable laboratory logs.

Inventory and Workspace Management
- Maintain an inventory of reagents and consumables needed for clinical testing.
- Ensure an organized and clean workspace.

Other Duties
- Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science degree in a natural science field.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing laboratory tasks.
- Manual dexterity to handle laboratory instruments and perform precise testing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and transport laboratory materials as needed.
