Description
MECHANICAL DESIGNER is required by our client, a project solutions provider, to be assigned on a contract basis, located in Richland, Washington.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and recommend ceramics (domestic and international requirements) processing improvements supporting a 30% increase to Richland HRR operations NLT 2030.
- Identify and recommend Rods, Bundles, and Cages improvements supporting a 30% increase to Richland HRR operations NLT 2030.
- Identify and recommend Storage improvements supporting a 30% increase to Richland HRR operations NLT 2030.
- Develop draft design plan for Richland Horn Rapids Road (HRR) workshops (ceramics; rods, bundles, & storage; and storage) assigned.
- Identify and develop action plans for project milestones.
- Recommend items for procurement.
- Identify and develop risks for resolution.
- Refine study scope for areas of assignment (ceramics; rods, bundles, & storage; and storage).
- Identify and provide recommendations to improve existing equipment for upgrade/replacement.
- Identify schedule requirements and milestones to ensure study completion.
- Inform scenario development.
- Provide courses of action and recommendations, helping to inform project roadmap.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial, manufacturing, or processing environments.
- Experience supporting facility expansions, production capacity increases, or equipment modernization projects.
- Experience working with ceramics processing systems, material handling systems, storage systems, or similar heavy industrial equipment preferred.
