Our services include spurring community investment through the provision of homebuying programs, partnering with community members and housing developers to build diverse housing options that uplift communities and offer other assistance that support community building.
Program Coordinator Overview:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administrative assignments such as preparing and reviewing correspondence, reports, and presentations, coordinating specific project activities, distributing and processing mail, and completing travel arrangements, processes expense and mileage reports, coordinates payment requests, and updates memberships/subscriptions.
- Provides administrative support for bereavement services and legal aid services, ensuring accurate documentation, scheduling, and communication related to these programs.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for matters related to division leadership, managing highly confidential communications, complex calendars, conference and room scheduling, purchasing, and preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintains strong communication and working relationships with other business units, Harris County departments, and executive-level staff and supports event coordination, including proofreading speeches, conducting walk-throughs, and performing other related tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Public Admin, Marketing and Communications, or related study.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant program coordinator/project management work experience.
- High School Diploma equivalency
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant program coordinator/project management work experience.
- Valid Texas State driver's license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Effective organizational skills and strong attention to details.
- Flexibility with sudden changes to procedures and ability to understand and communicate changes to a broader audience.
- Ability to think strategically, critically, and creatively to solve problems, and multitask through a wide variety of situations.
- Advanced computer skills including the use of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Vision, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response.
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

General Information
- Full-Time | Grant-funded
- Monday - Friday | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Nights and/or weekends are required occasionally for meetings.
- The job is performed in a relatively quiet, professional office environment.
- No special safety precautions are required.
- The work is primarily sedentary with occasional required travel to events, meetings, and working with files is required.
- This role involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and copiers.
- This position will require the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and to bend and stand during events when necessary.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
