The Line Crew Supervisor (Training & Quality Control) is responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining comprehensive training programs for all line service personnel. This role ensures that all team members are fully trained in accordance with NATA standards, regulations, and industry best practices. By using NATA Safety 1st Guidelines as a base. The Supervisor supports a culture of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.Ensuring quality control inspections are in compliance and are done weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly. Performs a variety of administrative, operations, maintenance, compliance inspections and repair functions related to aircraft and airport equipment.
As the Line Crew Supervisor (Training and Quality Control), you will:
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive line crew training program, incorporating NATA Safety 1st guidelines as the core foundation.
- Deliver initial and recurrent training for line service technicians, including aircraft fueling, towing, marshalling, and ground support equipment operation.
- Develop and maintain training manuals, SOPs, checklists, and course materials.
- Ensure training compliance with FAA, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct hands-on and classroom training sessions.
- Evaluate and document employee training progress, performance, and certification status.
- Perform regular audits of line operations to identify training needs or skill gaps.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to line crew to promote continual improvement and safety awareness.
- Coordinate with supervisors and management to align training with operational needs and service standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all training conducted and certifications awarded.
- Assist in the onboarding and orientation of new hires.
- Stay current with industry trends, safety standards, and best practices.
- Responsible for monthly safety meetings for line crew.
- Responsible for all NIMS training, regular garbage, international trash and environmental hazardous waste training.
- Safely teach service procedures and train on fuels of all types of aircraft and airport equipment. Marshaling aircraft in and out; Services aircraft, which includes: removing all trash, newspapers, etc. off the aircraft; fueling aircraft; lavatory servicing; loading and unloading luggage; towing vehicle; providing water service (using the water service cart); windshield washing; supplying.
- Work is done on a shift schedule that will include weekends and holidays.
- Performs any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Line Crew Manager, Assistant Aviation Director or Aviation Director.
Formal Education:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass the NATA online video for supervisors and practical training course with a minimum score of 80 within three months of employment.
Relatable Work Experience:
- 5 years’ of FBO experience with 2 years lead experience or two years as a line crew trainer
- Familiar with computer equipment and programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and specialized FBO software X-1FBO.
Training (License and/or Certification):
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Current on all required City training classes.
- Through in house training, must be able to qualify for the following:
Safe handling of fuel products, knowledge and familiarity of all types of general aviation and corporate aircraft, and knowledge of towing all types of aircraft.
