Description
Sodexo Energy & Resource is seeking a Unit Controller 3 to act as a financial analyst to oversee the accounting and financial matters for multiple cost centers for a well-known Oil and Gas facilities account in Houston, TX. This Unit Controller will handle financial operations for 20+ different cost centers and $100MIL+ in managed volume. This role will report directly to the Finance Director and will work closely with the site our site operators and clients. What You'll Do:- have financial responsibility for 20+ main cost centers and over $3M managed volume, monthly
- be responsible for accounts receivable, internal audits and financial reporting, creating weekly reports, invoice reconciliation, creating weekly and monthly financial reports
- focus on managing client billings
- participate in continuous process improvements for increasing revenues and decreasing costs
- assist in the implementation of corrective action plans developed during an audit; assist in monthly/quarterly/year-end close process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of results at the unit/district/region/division level.
- generate special reports and respond to data requests from management
- ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics, including operating and administrative budgets

- be a finance/accounting professional with strong fundamentals with cost plus accounts - including financial reporting, accruals, audits, budgeting and analyzing business trends, trending / tracking and financial computer applications
- a strong financial background in a large corporate environment and experience handling multiple budgets
- highly developed analytical skills to engaged in the financial status of the account
- familiarity with unit operations is highly desired
- ability to work independently and demonstrate organization and comprehension skills
- ability to perform and maintain core responsibilities/accountabilities while simultaneously involved in other department initiatives
- strong interpretation skills, as well as strong verbal & written communication skills
