About Goodnight Hospitality:
There's movement and expansion in the Goodnight Hospitality horizon and we are looking for people to expand and grow with us in our little corner of the Montrose neighborhood. We are looking for an Dining Room Manager at our high end restaurant, The Marigold Club to guide our amazing FOH team. Goodnight Hospitality had an executive team infrastructure to help support and mentor leadership rolls as needed as well as grant these rolls autonomy to showcase their strengths. We're a dynamic, fair, diverse, and young group that is looking for long-time, loyal, and genuine people to nurture the team and foster the community.
We are a young group that began operations just prior to the pandemic and, while we know how hard it was on all the industry, we are so proud to have successfully opened and to continue to growth our operations. In the short time we've been open, our locations have been awarded Texas's inaugural Michelin Stars (1 star for MARCH and Bibb Gourmand for Rosie Cannonball) nominated for three James Beard Awards and have graced national & global lists of Best Restaurants in America from Robb Report and Esquire Magazine. Our beloved Houston Community has named us Best New Restaurant (Rosie Cannonball for CultureMap Houston) and No.2 Best Restaurant (MARCH for The Houston Chronicle) amongst other accolades and being see on covers from Texas Monthly, Food + Wine, and Wine & Spirits magazines.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Managing a high-end, high volume restaurant floor

Ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive and friendly service at all times

Developing and training current staff and promoting and implementing continuing, on-the-job education

Growth of sales and productivity without sacrificing quality products and genuine hospitality
- Preparing and disseminating all required reports, schedules and administrative tasks

Working to achieve company objectives in service, quality, sales, cost and labor goals, appearance and ambiance, and sanitation of facility

Controlling payments and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures

Understanding, creating, and implementing all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
- Consistently demonstrating and promoting the Goodnight Hospitality culture
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum of 2 years restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant

Strong communication and leadership skills
-
Honesty, organization, and an ownership-driven mentality with a hands-on attitude

Strong knowledge of operations including food, beverage, staff supervision, food safety, service techniques, financials and administrative operations, enjoys guest interactions, and thrives on providing hospitality
- Strong financial and cash handling skills

Knowledge of POS Systems (preferably Toast), Microsoft Office, and isn't afraid of emailing often
Ability to work 40 hours a week on their feet and lift at least 40 lbs and up to ~50 hours total -
