ERM’s M&A team is trusted by leading investors and operators to provide technical, ESG, and EHS due diligence on critical transactions. As demand for our expertise grows, we’re expanding our Infrastructure Service Line. Your leadership will ensure clients make informed, responsible investments that balance performance, risk, and long-term value.
What Your Impact Is
  • Shape Investment Decisions: Provide technical, operational, and business plan evaluations for infrastructure assets in buy-side, sell-side, and project financing deals.
  • Drive Strategic Growth: Lead proposals, define scopes of work, and develop commercial terms that strengthen ERM’s market position.
  • Deliver Excellence: Coordinate complex deliverables—Q&A submissions, management sessions, client meetings, and reporting—while ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Collaborate Across Expertise: Work with ERM’s global technical communities and Subject Matter Experts to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Innovate for the Future: Contribute to internal development initiatives that enhance the functionality and impact of our Infrastructure Service Line.
What You’ll Bring
Required
  • Solid academic background with an engineering focus (Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical). Or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8 years of technical consulting, engineering, or operational experience in energy/infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong technical acumen to identify risks and opportunities in documentation, site visits, and technical discussions (asset integrity, operational performance, management systems, business plans).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work and maintain rigorous standards.
  • Advanced report writing and presentation skills; experience in client-facing roles.
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
  • Previous management of external client projects.
  • Ability to lead complex projects and coordinate multiple workstreams.
  • Experience in technical due diligence (preferred but not essential).
  • Corporate finance qualification.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits.
  • Knowledge of current, reasonable costs associated with Capex (Capital Expense) and Opex (Operational Expense) for engineering assets/projects.
  • Familiarity with decarbonization strategies and technologies.
  • Experience reviewing EPC contracts, financial models, designs, specifications, and budgets for industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead proposal development, including company profile, scope of work, scheduling, and commercial terms.
  • Manage and deliver technical due diligence projects for infrastructure investments.
  • Coordinate project deliverables—Q&A submissions, management sessions, client meetings, and reports.
  • Collaborate with ERM technical teams and subcontracted SMEs to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Drive internal initiatives to enhance the Infrastructure Service Line’s capabilities and market impact.
For the Managing Consultant, Transactions position, the anticipated annual base pay is $95,000 –$112,759 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).

Note: Bonuses, commissions, and other forms of additional compensation are not guaranteed and subject to the sole discretion of ERM and its policies and procedures.
