DESIGNATION : Manager, NGL Trading (Location - Houston)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary
Responsible as part of the US commercial team for generating sustainable profits through NGL trading in the US domestic market and supporting the international trading activity.
Responsibilities
- Execute physical and derivative NGL trades, ensuring timely and profitable transactions.
- Monitor US NGL market, including price movements, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to capture market opportunities and optimize risk-adjusted returns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and counterparties.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing terms, and trade agreements to secure favorable terms.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow the company's NGL trading portfolio.
- Manage market, credit, and operational risks associated with NGL trading activities.
- Collaborate with risk management and finance teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize hedging instruments to mitigate price volatility and exposure.
- Oversee logistics and delivery schedules, ensuring efficient supply chain management.
- Provide regular reports on trading performance, market trends, and profitability to senior management.
- Conduct market research and analysis to support decision-making and strategy development.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for NGL trading activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in US NGL trading, commodities trading, or energy markets.
- In-depth knowledge of US NGL markets, including supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and trading instruments.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to manage risks effectively.
- Proficiency in trading platforms, risk management tools, and market analysis software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
