The Director – Sales & Business Development will lead our global business development initiatives with a focus on the United States market. This role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, driving business growth, expanding market presence, securing profitable bookings across Struthers Wells™ line of products and overseeing a network of local sales representatives across the U.S. The Director will oversee all aspects of business development, customer engagement, and proposal strategy, ensuring alignment with TEi’s commercial and margin objectives, working hand-in-hand and in collaboration with the Proposal, Engineering and Global Sourcing teams in securing business. This position is also directly responsible for coordinating efforts between TEi / TEi services, corporate BPI sales and sales representatives relating to new and current opportunities as well as the development of sales and regional strategies. Focus is to be placed on increasing plant level coverage within the assigned region to increase opportunity level and capture rate for the Struthers Wells™ line of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the US Oil & Gas / Power landscape with an experience in end-to-end business development. Essential Responsibilities: • Drive sales for Struthers Wells™ line of products along with TEi services offerings at the plant level.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and strategic customer relationships.
- Leverage existing contacts and network.
- Responds to and understands potential customer needs and objectives.
- Develop sales strategy on key opportunities, working closely with respective Proposal Team and Regional TEi/BPI Representatives.
- Manage local sales reps or agents across different US regions. Support reps with product trainings and joint customer visits.
- Works direct with Corporate Marketing and TEi For Regional marketing needs.
- Responsible for setting up General Services Agreements with key customers.
- Monitor and report on pipeline activity, bookings performance, and market trends.
- Complete all required sales reports and detailed documentation by weekly/monthly/quarterly deadlines.
• Work frequently with executive management on significant matters influencing the organization's business results, which typically include global strategies. Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in international sales and business development, preferably in the power or process equipment sector.
- Proven track record of success in sales and global customer relationship management.
- Strong technical acumen in heat transfer equipment, pressure vessels, or related mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and interface with engineering and executive leadership.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Proficient in creating sales and technical presentations and presenting to Plant and Corporate staff.
