About the Opportunity:

Odyssey Space Research, LLC has an opportunity for a full-time experienced Human Spaceflight Trainer to support the Lunar Terrain Vehicle program in Houston, Texas. In this role you will support training development and delivery for ground-based flight control teams and astronaut crews to prepare them for lunar surface missions. Job Description:

Qualified candidates will be innovative, analytical, and excited to further space exploration through their work on practical and impactful projects. Candidates are expected to have experience and be proficient with:

Human Spaceflight Operations and Training

  • Experience in supporting NASA human spaceflight mission operations.
  • Supporting the operations team and managing training development activities for missions.
  • Experience with developing, reviewing and certifying training products.
  • Experience in different modes of instruction including classroom, simulators, mockups, virtual reality and mobile/online environments.
  • We are seeking exceptional individuals of all skill levels with a strong desire to further space exploration, regardless of background.

Required:

  • U.S. Citizen (or Permanent Resident) is required due to the nature of the work
  • BS/MS/PhD in Aerospace or similar degrees from accredited universities
  • Minimum 4 years of operations and/or training spaceflight experience

Other Useful Skills (not required for every position):

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Train The Trainer and instructor evaluation experience
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with customers, peers, and management
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite of Tools to prepare documents, presentations and reports.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems to track certification plans, records and scheduling
  • Training Needs Analysis, instructional design and curriculum development
