Camp Shield’s mission is collaborating to empower Veterans – emotionally, socially and physically – to ensure they thrive After Military Service. Our vision is to reduce the risk of Veteran homelessness and suicide by providing a secure and comfortable healing environment for the Veteran and their children to heal and grow. To achieve this vision, Camp Shield provides a series of workshops, mastermind book clubs, peer-to-peer support groups, retreats, financial assistance and resource referral services. This will include a transitional housing program in the future.
Member Duties : By assisting with the development of fundraising systems and partnerships, the VISTA project will increase Camp SHiEld’s capacity to address susceptibility to suicide, poverty, and homelessness among Veterans and their families. Objectives of this role include: developing fundraising event strategy and planning tools, building donor and sponsor prospecting and tracking systems, creating outreach and sponsorship materials, and documenting stewardship processes that support long-term donor engagement and fundraising sustainability.
