Location:
Assessment & Compliance - Master’s degree or higher from a recognized accredited university preferred.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position required.
- Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remain qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law.
- A thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal testing programs.
- A thorough knowledge of the state and federal accountability system.
- Experience in data analysis procedures.
- Experience in presenting to district or campus level personnel.
- Demonstrated skill in leading, cooperating, and communicating with others.
- Ability to work with databases and online web applications and tools.
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent writing and communications skills.
- Minimum 3 years of successful teaching experience required.
- District level state testing program experience highly preferred.
- Campus administrative or counselor experience preferred.
- Oversee the administration of State testing programs, including assessment programs for students with disabilities and Emergent Bilinguals (EB), in accordance with TEA and district guidelines.
- Coordinate processes for distributing, collecting, and disseminating assessments and related materials within the district.
- Maintain state and local assessment databases.
- Develop and deliver the required training for campus test coordinators and Campus Assessment and Instructional Specialists (CAIS).
- Lead Campus Assessment and Instructional Specialists (CAIS) training and professional development.
- Consult with staff to assure appropriate testing accommodations for Emergent Bilinguals (EB) and students receiving special services.
- Investigate suspected violations of test security and confidential integrity as specified within the law.
- Lead the planning and logistics for online testing with technology services and campus staff for all state and local online assessments.
- Oversee the coordination of college pathway assessments including the PSAT, School Day SAT, and TSI.
- Provide planning, training, and management of Test Hound.
- Manage access to district server for Testwriters, Testdata, and Campus Improvement Plans (CIP).
- Provide support for curriculum and program directors in the reporting of local district assessments.
- Provide technical support for campuses for online testing and student assessment tools.
- Assist in the production of campus and district assessment summaries as needed.
- Provide leadership and/or support as needed to campus and district program leaders for district initiatives including the District’s Strategic Plan.
- Stay current on state and national issues related to assessment of student performance.
- Stay current on technology related to assessing students, managing assessment data and reporting campus and district results.
