Description
Essential Functions
- Oversee all graphic design needs for advertising, print, internal newsletters, social media, and web graphics. Follow Branding Guidelines and obtain the Marketing Manager's approval before printing or publishing.
- Maintains the internal Marketing site on SharePoint and updates it consistently with new creative and content.
- Administers and updates internal community files on SharePoint.
- Sustains internal company site, The Hub, with graphics and content to help onsite teams assist their prospects and residents.
- Administers all eMarketing needs and communication with vendors.
- Oversees all company contest submissions from approval to mockups to legal and publishing to the contest website.
- Supports all 170+ Camden communities with creation and updates to collateral, including floor/site plan artwork. Maintains graphics library and assists with organizing photography—stock images and product images; oversees user administration rights. Purchases stock images.
- Communicate with regional marketing directors and community managers to collect and approve all collateral updates before printing or publishing.
- Develops and proofs new creative pieces and copy, coordinates shipping of items, and uploads to Box or FTP accounts.
- Video production capturing company-wide philanthropic, social media, and advertising of Camden and properties, including full-video and short-form videos, MP4/GIF.
- The successful candidate will possess a positive outlook, strong written and oral communication skills, a sense of humor, and a commitment to Camden’s values and culture.
- 2-3 years experience in advertising/marketing or in-house marketing department
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications/Graphic Design
- Skilled and Proficient in Industry Design Standard Adobe Creative Cloud Software Including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, and After Effects
- Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel and Google Docs/Surveys
- Experience in CMS - Contentful preferred, Squarespace and/or PowerPoint required
- Experience in Monday.com or other project management and tracking software
- Meticulous proofing abilities required
- Creative copywriting
- Knowledge of internal marketing

- Time management skills required. Graphic designer will be involved with numerous projects at one time with different deadlines.
- Knowledge of printing processes and production
- Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i.e., climb stairs) to tour, show, and inspect apartments on a daily basis
- Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing
- Must have normal range of vision to complete applications, leases, general paperwork and handle computerized bookkeeping duties; hearing and speech to communicate with residents, vendors, supervisors and coworkers on the telephone or in person on a regular basis
- Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work situations on a daily basis
- Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position
- Works in a typical office setting with daily exposure to outdoor environment (i.e., heat, cold, damp, rain, etc.) when touring community
- Hazards can be avoided with proper lifting techniques, SDS and general safety training
- Will be regularly called upon to work long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
- Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
- May require airline travel, out-of-town and /or overnight trips
- Attendance and punctuality is essential for success in this position
